The Netherlands is once again preparing for the big Sinterklaas celebration this year, which will start on Saturday, November 18, when Sinterklaas and his Pieten arrive on their steamboat in the fortified city of Gorinchem. Dylan Reedijk, owner of Chocolaterie Reedijk in Strijen, quit his job as a pastry chef last year to fulfill his own dream with his own chocolaterie. “I am always open to new and original ideas, but if necessary I have to work on them at night. We came up with this performance together with the guys from Candyfestival and on my evening off I immediately started working for them, says Dylan.”
